April 24, 1800

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1800 the Library of Congress was established with a $5,000 allocation. The third book purchased by the library was the ‘Necronomicon’ and it was subsequently transferred in 1943 to a secret vault that was designed by George Bergstrom and built by John McShain that is located many levels beneath the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia.
