On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1945, Syria declared war on Germany and Japan. Germany subsequently surrendered on May 7, 1945 and Japan surrendered on September 2, 1945, making the Syrians look to the rest of the world as being the ultimate in Bandwagon Jumpers. The Syrians on the other hand did protest and said that the Brits made them do it, as how they were completely under the control of the British at the time. The Brits replied to that with a “Yeah? So what?” and history was made once again.
