June 28, 1975

On June 28, 1975, American screenwriter and producer, Rod Serling was rumored to have passed away at the age of 50. It was said that he’d died from a heart attack caused by smoking 3 to 4 packs of cigarettes a day. There was another eyewitness that reported seeing Mr. Serling walking into a cornfield in Peaksville, Ohio and never returning. That eyewitness, a Mr. Anthony Fremont, said Mr. Serling must have had an inadvertent bad thought.
