On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1880, Sunabdha Kumariratana, the Royal Princess of Thailand was on her way to the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace being carried by the Royal Boat when it capsized and threw her and other members of the Royal Family into the water. Sunabdha drowned even though there were many onlookers who observed the boat sinking and saw the Princess struggling and drowning. The reason why no one would help her was because of they were forbidden on pain of death to touch her, even to save her life.
