February 18, 1979

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1979 snow fell in the Sahara. The snowstorm took place in Southern Algeria and lasted for only 30 minutes. The was the first time in recorded history that snow had fallen in the Sahara. It should also be noted that Sheila McCarthy of Lakewood, New Jersey finally went all the way with Frankie Mannicetti on February 19 of that same year. She was later quoted as saying, “If it’s a snowing in the Sahara, then Hell’s freezing over is a sure thing and a promise is a promise.”

  1. Frankie Mannicetti says:

Sure, it may have been an early indicator of global warming or just some freak weather thing or maybe even a sign of the oncoming apocalypse…

Whatever it was, I just wish it would happen again.

See, me and Sheila have been married for 30 years now, and she’s promised that if hell freezes over (again), we will have a threesome with her best friend Beth — the one who always flirts with her a little, when she’s been drinking.

So, I know it’s probably too much to ask for the same miracle, twice in a lifetime, but PLEEEEEEEASE?
