On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 2008, the iTunes Music Store reached 10 million apps downloaded. Exactly one year later, it reached 1.5 billion apps downloaded. If iTunes only charged $1 an app (which they don’t) they would have made 1.499 billion dollars in one year. That is 1,499,000,000 dollars in one year. If iTunes gave you a dollar for every mile that the Earth is from the Sun (92,060,000 miles), iTunes would still have $1,406,040,000 left over, or enough to buy 8 F-35 fighter jets with $126,000,000 left over to live in luxury in the Hamptons.
