On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1943 in Basel, Switzerland, chemist Albert Hoffman accidently discovered the hallucinogenic effects of LSD-25 while working on the medicinal value of lysergic acid. While handling the new substance, he inadvertently absorbed the drug through his fingertips. When his three-headed serpent tongued assistant reminded him that it was time to reset the universe, he knew he was on some good shit and that he would need to experiment some more to determine the medicinal value of this new drug. He would experiment with this new drug for the next 60 years.
