December 19, 1959

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1959, Penn State’s Nittany Lions defeated Alabama 7-0 in the first Liberty Bowl football game. It should be noted that no little boys were touched before, during, or after the game by any of the Penn State coaches, as this was 1959 and criminal sexual behavior against young boys wouldn’t be invented by Catholic priests until 1975, when the first ABC After School Special “Father O’Malley is Awfully Touchy Feely, Isn’t He Timmy” would be shown. In the interest of fair play, it has to be noted that on the Alabama side of the field for the first Liberty Bowl, cousins were kissed, but tongues were not involved, as this was a nationally televised game.
