On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 1890, 23 year old Cy Young of the Cleveland Spiders pitched in his first major league baseball game against the Chicago White Sox and achieved his first major league victory. The White Sox fans accused him of getting lucky because he threw like a girl. A 6’2” 210 pound hard throwing girl who would play another 21 years and accumulate 511 total wins in his career. White Sox fans have never been accused of intelligence.
